Shouldn't We Feel Such Pain?

It seems like we should feel the collective fear and pain when something as big as the tsunami that devasted so much Asian coastline happens. It should scream at us all, deep inside, wrenching, to lose a hundred thousand souls.
Instead, it seeps in slowly with the news, sadly, but distant. It isn't us. But it is.
